Rescue of Civilians from 6th Floor Apartment

Beecher Ladder Company 44 was dispatched on the MABAS 2nd alarm assignment for the structure fire in a neighboring jurisdiction. Upon arrival, crews were assigned to report to the “bravo” sector to assist with the removal of two civilians trapped on a 6th-floor balcony.

Crews worked with the civilians through the rescue process coaching them every step of the way. Once the couple was on the ground they were evaluated by EMS but refused transport to the hospital. Crew members were Carm Welsh (Company Officer) Jeremy Horn (Firefighter) and Stef Nolen-Ragland (on the turntable).
